Review of the Scout Cosmetics Mineral Lipsticks

I really love the fact that there are now more and more companies producing locally made products - one of those is Scout Cosmetics that make a whole array of makeup which is cruelty free and made in Australia! (They make nail polish as well and you may recall that I did a review on those last week.)

I was recently given the opportunity to try their mineral lipsticks. Since I have been wearing them on a daily basis for the last couple of weeks, I thought that was ample time for me to be able to form and opinion and share my thoughts with you.

Scout Cosmetics Flame red teracotta truth pink orange Mineral Lipstick lips australian beauty review ausbeautyreview blog blogger aussie honest vegan cruelty free quality vibrant colorful pigmented pretty makeup swatch As you can see from the pictures above, the lipsticks come in simple, sleek, black packaging which look quite stylish in my makeup collection.

Both of the lipstick colours look beautiful and from looking at the Scout Cosmetics website - there are plenty of other colours to choose from too! The light pink shade, called 'Truth' required a fair few of coats in order to build up the colour. However, the gorgous terracotta red called 'Flame' (both pictured above) didn't require as much work in order to get the intense colour that I like to wear.

I like the fact that the lipsticks are buildable so you can apply more coats in order to obtain a deep colour or just have one swipe for a more subtle, natural look.

I find them a bit dry when applying so I would recommend that you apply a lip balm beforehand to make application quicker and easier. In terms of lasting power, I found that these lipsticks lasted a couple of hours before needing to be reapplied which is not too bad especially for a mineral lipstick.

According to the Scout Cosmetics website, both of these mineral lipsticks are 100% vegan and infused with shea butter, jojoba seed oil and vitamin E - so not only do they look pretty but they are good for your lips as well.

These lipsticks retail at $35.95 and can be purchased from the Scout Cosmetics website.

Have you tried anything from Scout Cosmetics yet? If so, what are your thoughts?

Disclaimer: These Scout Cosmetics lipsticks were kindly sent to me for consideration to review. I was not paid for my review nor am I affiliated with the company in any way. My 100% honest opinion, as always :)

Flame is gorgeous! I had a look at the other shades on their website and it looks like there are some promising ones. I just wish they had better pics/swatches as it's difficult to tell.
