Hi beauties! I hope that you all had a great weekend, I actually had a pretty productive weekend for once which was a nice change! Anyways, today I thought that I would talk about the Clinique Super Rescue Antioxidant Night Moisturiser.
I used to be a big fan of Clinique products when I was a teenager but now it seems that I am a bit older, I just don't find them to be as spectacular as I once thought. Maybe I just got overly used to them? I am not sure. Either way, I am not blown away by this particular product that I am talking about today.

Just like other Clinique products, this one has nice sleek green packaging - I have always liked the simplicity of it for some reason.
This antioxidant night moisturiser comes in a 50ml bottle which is quite small but a convenient size for traveling. The product has a great consistency (not too thick or too runny), it is also very easy to work with and blend into the skin. A little goes a long way with this product so you only need approximately a pea sized amount to cover your entire face.
The moisturiser absorbs instantly into the skin and you can't even feel that you are wearing it - definitely no annoying greasy residue that's for sure! It is aimed for dry/combination skin so I found that it felt very light on the skin and didn't cause me to wake up to a super oily face. One thing that I don't particularly like about using it is the fact that it does not have a very pleasant scent - it actually has a strong artificial type of scent which is hard to describe.
As you can see from the picture above, this product claims to do a lot of things like protect your skin from environmental damage and prevent the visible signs of ageing. Even though I have been using this product every night for the past month or so, I have not noticed anything different in the appearance or texture of my skin. I would like to think that this product is doing something good for my skin but I am yet to see or feel it.
Don't get me wrong, its not as if this product is really that bad. However given that it retails at $90.00 for a 50ml bottle from my local Myer, I had higher expectations for it.
Do you tend to have higher expectations from a product when it is expensive or are you more fair when you judge a product? Let me know your thoughts below.

Add CommentI've never tried anything from Clinique before, but like you, i've always thought it would be 'really good' since it's so expensive. I recently won a YSL lipstick, and it is quite amazing, but not as much as i thought it would be (the hype) http://jaymeestyles.blogspot.com.au/
Haa..Good one..its allergy free too.right? Thanks for posting the info :)
