Review of Natural Look Silver Screen Ice Blonde Shampoo & Conditioner

Ever since I started bleaching my hair blonde, I have disliked the the golden and yellow tones that develop in my hair. After some research, I discovered that the colour purple can neutralise the unwanted golden tones because it is the opposite of yellow in the colour spectrum.

Today I am doing a review of two very affordable salon hair products that I have discovered. The Movie Tone Hues Silver Screen shampoo and conditioner are two great products you can use to neutralise unwanted golden and brassy tones from blonde hair without breaking the budget.

If you haven't heard about this brand before, Natural Look is an Australian company that makes professional hair care and beauty products. They are also a cruelty free company so they don't test on our animal friends.

Although Natural Look are products that you can only buy at the hair salon, don't let that put you off. Their products are actually really affordable. A huge 1 litre bottle of shampoo or conditioner will set you back only around $18 each and will last you several months. This ends up being a lot cheaper than most of the hair products you buy at the supermarkets and is great value for money.
The Ice Blonde shampoo and conditioner do a great job in neutralising blonde tones without being too strong so there is minimal risk of your hair turning purple from using these products. Since I have a lot of yellow tones in my hair, I like to leave the shampoo and conditioner on my hair for at least 5 minutes each and then rinse out as normal. If your hair is very light and you are concerned about it going purple from this product then I suggest that you don't leave it in your hair too long & use it a couple of times a week along with your normal shampoo and conditioner.

The shampoo lathers beautifully on your hair and makes it feel clean and the conditioner does a great job in making your hair feel soft and smooth. Both of the products have a sweet kind of smell which is not too strong and overpowering.

Using these products on a regular basis will help maintain your desired hair colour in between salon visits and I would highly recommend them especially since they are such great value for money.

Have you tried any Natural Look products? What did you think of them?

Thanks for the review! :) I'll keep this in mind 'cause I'm considering getting the ends of my hair dyed blonde.

I used to love their Intensive Range when I was younger. The mask is so gorgeous.

    Hi Amanda,

No Natural Look products are tested on animals nor do they contain any ingredients that are produced by the destruction of animals.

The only animal derived products on our ingredients list are ethically sourced lanolin and beeswax (neither are in these products).

Silver Screen has a great following among blondes... I hope you try it!
