A couple of months ago I was looking for a good quality eye cream and while browsing at Priceline one day I came across the Palmers Cocoa Butter Line Smoothing Eye Cream. Since it only cost $12.95, I thought I would give it a try and see how it works.
Now that I am in my mid twenties, I have become more and more concerned about the appearance of my under eye area so I was looking for a product which would improve the appearance of the fine lines and be hydrating at the same time.
This product claims to be a rich anti-wrinkle cream which is non-irritating containing peptide complex and retinol. It comes in a cute little 15g tube which is easy to hold and fits into your overnight makeup bag nicely. The other thing I really like about the packaging is that it contains a nice narrow tip so you can get the perfect amount of product each time.
Just like the other products that I have tried from the Palmers range, this one is gentle and has a rich consistency with a soft smell. It is easy to apply and absorbs quickly into the skin leaving it soft and hydrated. However, even though I have been using this product on a regular basis, I haven't noticed any change in the appearance of the fine lines around my eyes. So if you are after a product that will make the fine lines disappear, then this is probably not a product for you. On the other hand, if you are still in your early twenties and the fine lines around your eyes are not too much of an issue or you don't have a lot of wrinkles then I think this is a great preventative product to try.
As for me, I had higher expectations from this product as I thought that it would at least improve the appearance of the fine lines around my eyes although I didn't expect it to perform miracles as it is only a cheap product. So now I'm back to searching for an eye cream that will perform better but is also affordable - I wonder if there is such a thing?
Have you been using any eye creams recently that you would recommend for me to try?
