Today I am going to talk about the Colour Riche Balm by L'Oreal. At the time I purchased this product, I thought that it was released as competition for the Revlon Lip Butters (I did a review on them here). Being the curious beauty blogger that I am, I had to try the L'Oreal lip butters to compare them to the Revlon ones so I purchased a gorgeous coral colour called '418 Caring Coral'.
Unfortunately for me, I was unable to test this product before I purchased it because there were no testers available at the time so this was a bit of an impulse buy on my part. If I had tried this product at the shops, I would not have purchased it because it has not lived up to my expectations.
I feel that these L'Oreal lip balms are no where near the quality of the Revlon lip butters. The one I purchased was not pigmented and barely showed up on my lips. I would describe this product as a slightly tinted lip balm rather than a lip butter. One good thing about it is that it contains SPF 15+ which is always a great bonus I think.
Even though I don't mind the fact that this product is very sheer, I really dislike the its scent and taste. It tastes and smells exactly the same as the Maybelline baby lips - so if you like the Maybelline bably lips products then you will probably like this product.
I feel that it has a very artificial taste and scent which really bothers me when I am wearing this product. I just can't seem to keep it on my lips for longer than 10 minutes before removing it!
Overall, I feel like this product was not worth the $25.00 I paid for it because it is just like an overpriced tinted lip balm.
Have you tried the L'Oreal colour riche balm? Did you like it?
Wow $25 that's very expensive!
ReplyDeleteI never tried it and I think I won't.
ReplyDelete25$ is very expensive...
I actually really love these, but I agree about the price. I would only buy them on special or if theres a GWP.
ReplyDeleteHm I agree, this is quite weak pigmentation. The Revlon lip butters are a much better deal!!! However the texture looks good and I imagine this is great for "office work" makeup looks.
