Garnier Anti-Dark Circle Roll On

Hi lovelies! Happy long weekend! I hope that you are all having an awesome day off work. I am currently on a post wedding high and have our last day of wedding celebrations on today which should be good fun. My parents are hosting it at their house and it will be a huge European feast - as if we were back in my homeland. I'm really looking forward to it! Anyhoo, before I get sidetracked talking about my huge wedding, I wanted to talk about a product that has made my favorites list two years in a row (it was part of my favorites in 2012 and 2013!).

I think that this is the best product that Garnier has ever made! It works wonders on my dark under-eye circles. I would go as far as to say that it is better than pretty much all of my expensive concealers such as the ones by Napoleon Perdis and Benefit!

As you can see from the pictures, the concealer comes with a roll-on. The steel ball feels smooth and refreshing when applied on the skin whilst distributing the perfect amount of product to the desired area. It's not the most hygienic product, I must admit but given that I am the only one that ever uses it I think that it is ok especially since it has not caused me any issues.

I always buy the 'sheer tint' colour which is perfect for my pale skin tone. I don't think that this product is super and have done a swatch below so you can see what I mean. I think that it contains just the right amount of tint in order to highlight and brighten my eyes.

In order to get the best results, I tend to apply one swipe of the product under my eye area and then leave it for a couple of minutes to absorb. After that I get a fluffy brush and blend it in. My under eye circles instantly dissappear after using this product! The best thing is that I don't need to set it with anything as it will never settle into the fine lines underneath my eyes and lasts all day without budging! I love it! There are so many times that I have used an expensive concealer and later found that it made me look 10 years older because the product just settled into the fine lines underneath my eyes even though I set it with powder! This little Garnier product is a clear winner in my eyes and is much more effective then it's more expensive counterparts.

The only problem that I have with this product is the fact that it is impossibly hard to find these days. I used to be able to easily find it at my local Priceline but they no longer stock the lighter shade - I did see the 'medium' shade in store recently but that was all they had available. I am not sure whether Garnier has discontinued this product or whether they have just updated the packaging. I love this product so much that I had to resort to buying it from ebay!

Overall, I absolutely love this product and highly recommend it especially if you are looking for an affordable concealer that will give you natural results. The formula is so light and blends so beautifully that no one can even tell that you are wearing it! If you see it in store, please let me know as I would love to stock up on this awesome product! I recall that it retailed for around $18.99 at my local Priceline but I always got it when it was on sale.

Do you have a favorite product that has been hard to find in stores recently? Did you go to extreme lengths to get your hands on it? Let me know below.

Hey Billi, I too am in raptures over this concealer - i can't find it any more either, nor is it listed on the Garnier website. The BB cream "substitute" is a very different color and nowhere near as effective - why oh why do companies take fabulous products like this off the market? It's been a tough 12 months for me lol - first Mirenesse Pore Perfect Mousse Primer disappeared, and then Australis Creme Blush, and now this. Bah humbug!

I've just recently started using a similar product from Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circles.
I'd love to hear how you think it compares with your fav!

This is a must have in my make up bag and I can't find it anymore either! I had originally found it at my local Woolworths and I am currently running low and getting very worried!!

    - please do another post if you find it again in any shops! :)

    xx
