Face of Australia Sheer Lip Crayon Review

Hi everyone, I hope that you have all had a great week, I am so glad that it is the weekend! Today I wanted to talk about a great little product that I discovered recently - the Sheer Lip Crayon by Face of Australia. I am always on the lookout for a quality lip tint so when I stumbled upon this little guy, I knew that I had to give it a try.

I love the look of these lip crayons and they look pretty much identical to the Clinique chubby sticks that I love so much. Luckily for me, these Face of Australia lip crayons are a great budget friendly alternative to the Clinique ones.

I purchased the colour called 'Cupcake' which is a beautiful pink as you can see from the swatch pictures above. The colour looks so pretty on the lips so it suits pretty much any look that I am wearing. I love the fact that the product looks like a giant crayon but there is no sharpening involved, you just need to twist the bottom in order to dispense more product.

This product is the perfect medium between a lip gloss and a lipstick. It is nicely pigmented but is also shiny and moisturizing on the lips. It feels light and comfortable to wear and not at all sticky. It also smells like vanilla which is a great bonus as it is not an overpowering scent.

The lip crayon doesn't have the best lasting power - I find that the tint lasts on my lips for around an hour before I have to reapply in order to get more colour. Given that it comes in such cute packaging, I don't mind having to reapply.

Overall, I think that this is a fabulous product by Face of Australia and I would highly recommend it. I am actually considering getting a few more colours from the collection before they sell out. I understand that this product is limited edition so I am not sure how long it will remain in stores. It is also very affordable, retails around $14.95 at my local Priceline.

The swatch does look quite similar to Clinique chubby lipsticks. I might to go to Priceline and try over the counter.
