Affordable brush storage idea

Hi lovelies! Today we are going to be talking about brush storage. I keep seeing pretty pictures of makeup brush holders on Instagram so I was inspired to give my brush holder an update However, I could not justify paying over $30 for a similar product that I had seen on the internet so I set out to look for an affordable alternative. I thought that you guys would be interested in hearing about what I found so I thought that I would share it with you.

I love having my makeup brushes visible and easy to reach in my bathroom so that I can grab the brush I need when getting ready in the mornings. The above storage idea does everything I need it to do - it looks pretty and is practical at the same time. 

The above set up cost me exactly $5.99, consisting of the following products:

A rectangular vase from Ikea, the style is called 'Rektangel' and retails at $3.99;

The glass stones are from Spotlight and cost me $2.00 for 1kg of stones. The stones are round so they don't damage the bottom of my brushes and look pretty too. 

As you can see, it is possible to get a beautiful looking brush holder for under $10. I actually went back to Ikea today to purchase another one of the Rektangel vases so that I can now store all my brushes this way. I was able to use the same stones that I got from Spotlight and still have some stones left over!
