Review of the Babyliss Pro Ceramic Curling Iron

Hi lovelies! I hope that you have had a great week, boy has it gone fast! I have tried my fair share of curling irons so today I wanted to talk about one of my favorites, not only in terms of quality but also results wise.

Early last year, I was pretty fed up with my (cheap) curling irons always breaking after 6 months of barely being used, so I thought it was about time that I invested in a quality product. I actually had the same experience with hair straighteners a few years back and have never looked back since investing in my GHD straightener. The GHD was not by any means cheap (cost around $200) but it has saved me money in the long term because it has lasted me years and I haven't had the need to buy a replacement since. 

After doing a bit of research, I discovered a lot of great reviews about Babyliss curling irons so I decided to take the plunge and buy one. I bought mine from RY.com.au for around $72 because it was the cheapest place I found. Even though the store is located on the other side of Australia, their shipping was super fast and I received great customer service. 

I purchased the 32mm Babyliss Pro ceramic curling iron as I thought that I would get most use out of a larger sized barrel. I prefer to wear large, loose curls so the 32mm is perfect for me. I noticed on the website that the Babyliss comes in a 38mm as well and they also sell a range of smaller sizes too.

I have been really happy with this curler because it is super easy to use. It has 25 heat settings, has a long swivel cord so it is easy to manouver and it has a safety plastic tip. I like the fact that it has a good variety of heat settings so that I can be in control of how defined my curls turn out to be. 

One thing that I have been doing recently with this curling iron is to pretend that it is a conical curling iron and doesn't have a little hair holder attached. I simply wrap the hair around the curling iron in order to get loose beach waives (pictured above). I have found the plastic tip super useful for that because I am yet to buy a heat protection glove. I am so glad that I have found multiple uses for this curling iron that I would not have thought of before!

Overall, I love this Babyliss curling iron. It heats up super fast and has a light indicator so you know when it is ready to use (it flashes whilst heating up and then the lights stay constant when it is hot). It has lasted me almost 2 years already and is still going strong. This is mainly the reason that I decided to wait until now to do this review because I wanted to see whether it would outlast the other curling irons I owned previously.
