Review of the Pixi radiance powder

Hi beauties! Today I am doing a review of the Pixi Lumi Lux radiance powder which I purchased at Target whilst on holiday in America a few months ago. I had heard a lot about this brand on YouTube so I wanted to try it for myself.

The thing I love about American brands is how creative and funky they are with their packaging. This product is no exception, it is colourful, girly and functional at the same time. I absolutely adore the floral design which actually goes through the product as you can see above. I wish I took pictures of the product before using it because it was even cuter when it was brand new.

I thought that it was a blush when I first purchased it, but after using it I now think that it is actually  a highlighter. It is not pigmented so it is perfect for a subtle hint of colour. When applied on the cheekbones it gives you a beautiful glow with a slight hint of shimmer.

I think that this product would not be suitable for darker skin tones because you would not be able to see it at all. It retails at around $26.00 so it is pretty expensive by American standards but affordable for us Australians since Revlon products cost the same here. One thing to note though is that the palette is larger than average so it will last you a very long while before you use it all up.

Overall, even though I love the super cute packaging of this product I think that it is simply not pigmented enough for my liking and that makes it quite limited in its uses I think.

Have you tried any Pixi products? What did you think of them?

The fact that you said that it is a little too light for your liking reminds me of a Clarins all over powder that had a highlighter feel without much pigment. However, Clarins recommended dusting it all over the face to give the face a glow. I actually loved it and used every last bit of it. I used it with a compact sponge of all things.

This is such a beautiful light blush, I'd use it as a highlighter on top of my cheeks for warmth and glow with a fluffy loose small powder/blush brush!
