Review of Urban Decay Sustainable Palette

Hey Beauties!
Today I thought I would do a review of the very first Urban Decay product which I ever purchased. Urban Decay has to be one of my favorite brands because the quality of their products always exceptional - I have never been disappointed with a Urban Decay product I have purchased.

The first thing that caught my eye about this palette is the packaging. The palette comes with a beautifully decorated wooden lid which goes well with the name and vibe of the palette. The lid is held on by magnets and slides off to expose 10 vibrant eyeshadows and a brush. I love how creative Urban Decay are with their product packaging and this palette just looks fantastic as part of my makeup collection. One thing I forgot to mention is that the palette also comes with a sample size primer potion which is not pictured.

The quality of the eyeshadows in this palette is fantastic! Each and every eyeshadow is incredibly pigmented and applies beautifully. The only thing that might not appeal to everyone is that a majority of the eyeshadows in this palette contain glitter. There are no matte eyeshadows in this palette, although it does contain some shimmery ones.

I think that this palette contains a great array of shades which can be worn for any occasion. The netural colours are great for wearing every day and even the daring bright colours,  if applied with a light hand, can be worn during the day as well.

As can be expected from Urban Decay, this product is cruetly free and has not been tested on animals.

Overall I love this palette, not only because it looks cool but the quality of the eyeshadows is top notch. Since it contains a lot of glittery eyeshadows I don't use it as often as I would like to but it is still fun to play with and to wear when going out. I actually did a tutorial using this palette which you can watch here.

Urban Decay is a brand which is not yet available in Australia (hopefully some day it will be!) so I purchased this palette from BeautyBay.com and it retails at $36.

Have you tried the Urban Decay Sustainable palette? What did you think of it?

I've used this palette before, it was my friends, but the color pay off is excellent. However I will say that the color "Oil Slick" is known for having some bad fallout when not using an eye-base or creamy concealer under it on the eyelid.
