Nail polish of the week: CoverGirl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Polish

It has been a while since I have done one of these posts and that was mainly because I simply didn't purchase any new nail polishes for a few months. Whilst I was at Big W the other week I gave in to temptation when I saw these Cover Girl Outlast Stay Brilliant Nail Polishes for only $2.00 each! (Their usual retail price is $6.95)

I picked up this gorgeous colour called "Coral Silk", which as you can see is a pretty pale orangey-coral colour. I reminisce beautiful summer days when I wear it!

Even if I had paid full price for this product, I think it would be worth it. I love the idea behind this nail polish - it is meant to contain a base coat and a top coat so it is a great all-in-one kind of product especially for someone like me who is always short on time.

In the above picture I am wearing one coat of the nail polish (two of the nails needed a bit of a touch up so they have 2 coats). As soon as you apply the polish, you can see that it is super shiny so there is definitely no need for a top coat.

The most impressive thing about this polish is it's lasting power. For the past few months, I have been suffering from soft nails, so all the nail polish I wear tends to chip very quickly. Even though this nail polish is not advertised as a long lasting product, I think it really gives some of the 'chip resistant' nail polishes a run for their money! I have been wearing this polish for a full week and I have not experienced any chipping yet!

I plan on making another trip to Big W to see whether I can pick up some more colours in this CoverGirl range. I am in love with the quality of these and they are pretty affordable too.

Have you tried these nail polishes? What did you think of them?

Such a pretty shade, I was eyeing these off in priceline the other week but then realised I rarely paint my nails. However seeing this on you is making me reconsider :)

Does anyone know what ingredients they contain? Are they free of DBP, toluene and formaldehyde? Can't seem to find the info anywhere thanks.
