Clinique Superbalanced Foundation Review

Hi Beauties! Hope you're having a great week so far. I am currently sitting at my computer unable to move as a result of my 12km charity fun run I completed on Sunday. I have not been so sore in years!

Even though I quite liked the Clinique Even Better Foundation, I thought it was a bit too heavy for my skin. The lovely Clinique sales assistant at my local Myer recommended that I try the Superbalanced foundation as it would better suit my needs. To my surprise, she was right and I have fallen in love with this product.
I quite like the packaging of this product because it is functional and pleasing on the eye as well. It doesn't have a pump dispenser but that doesn't bother me as the product is relatively runny in consistency so it comes out easily without too much hassle. I like the fact that I can tip the bottle over and it can balance on the lid so I can get as much product out as possible.

I think that this product has a winning formula. The foundation provides medium coverage which is buildable so you can get a full coverage if you need to. Even though it has similar features to the Clinique Even Better Foundation in terms of coverage, I find that this one is not as oily and heavy on the skin. This foundation blends beautifully and even after wearing it all day, I did not melt or leave my skin looking shiny. I like how it evens out my skin tone whilst letting my skin breathe at the same time.

I am all too familiar with that feeling of heavy foundation, and I am sure that you know how uncomfortable that is. Luckily, this one is light enough that you cannot feel that you are wearing it. It also has the perfect consistency - not too thick or too runny, so it is very easy to work with no matter what tool you use. Personally I find that I get the best results from my favorite Real Techniques stippling brush but it works just as well when I use my fingers.

According to the packaging, this foundation is formulated to oily to combination skin as well as dry to combination skin. I find that it works well with my combination skin but I am not too convinced that it would last very long on oily skin.

Overall I really like this product and will most likely be repurchasing it. I like everything about it, besides the price tag (retails at $50 for a 30ml bottle) but that is pretty normal here in Australia where a lot of makeup is overpriced.

Have you tried this foundation? What did you think of it?
