Review of Nars Foreplay Palette

Nars has been one of my favorite brands since way back when I first got a paying job and could finally afford to buy high end makeup products. Back then, I didn't know much about online shopping so I used to pay the ridiculous prices at Mecca Cosmetica. Given that they put a 100% markup on their products, I don't buy much from there anymore unless it is something I 'must have right now'.

I purchased the Nars Foreplay palette whilst in the US last year and although it is limited edition, I have noticed that it is still available from the Sephora website.

The palette contains the following shades:
  • Peach matte blush;
  • Gold highlighting blush;
  • Pink matte blush; and
  • Orgasm (peachy pink with golden shimmer)
The thing that caught my eye about this palette is how vibrant the colours are. They are so bright and complement each other beautifully.

As you can expect from Nars, these blushes are great quality and are beautifully pigmented, so a little will go a long way with them. Although, I have noticed that the individual Nars blushes I in my collection are much creamier than the ones in this palette. I like how the palette is nice and compact so I can take with me on the go and have all the cheek colours in the one place.

Overall, I really love this palette because it has some lovely colours. Even though the shades are bright, when applied with a light hand, they give a light pop of colour to your face and still look natural.

Like I said at the beginning of this post, this product is limited edition be quick if you want it. I bought it from Sephora for USD$49.00 which I thought was great value for money as it contains 4 nicely sized blushes.

What do you think of Nars products?

    I love most NARS products although Foreplay wouldn't be for me - the Danmari palette though is actually a MASSIVE lemming of mine and if I saw it I would buy it, regardless of no buy haha. This looks like great value though!

    That blush is an interesting shade of pink! Kind of purple-ish :)

    I've never tried Nars products before but this looks like a good price to try 4 different blushes in one palette.

    I love the packaging for NARS products, the sleek matte black case is beautiful! The shades are bright and I can imagine them being worn for many different makeup looks :)

    Nars does amazing things in the make up world. Their blush and bronzer are the only ones i currently use, and they have great brushes too :)
