Review of the Vani-T Bronzing Custard

I am really excited about today's blog post because it is about one of the best products I have discovered on the market. As you guys know, I am always on the lookout for a good quality self tanner and now I think that I have finally found the perfect product.

Vani-T describes the Bronzing Custard as "a bronzing moisturiser with a unique blend of hydrating oils and anti-oxidants to improve the skins hydration, elasticity and tone, it has a hint of self-tanning agent to boost an existing tan or build a natural glow worthy of a red carpet appearance".

There are so many things I love about this product, I don't know where to start! Firstly, it gives the most natural tan that does not streak. Secondly, it does not have that horrible fake tan smell but rather, it has a pleasant sweet scent. The tan also lasts around a week and fades naturally, unlike many products that tend to flake while fading (Le Tan I am looking at you!). Finally, the product is incredibly hydrating on the skin and did not cause me any breakouts.

The product has a lovely creamy formula which comes out of the tube white and absorbs quickly into the skin. Even though the product is clear once it is rubbed into the skin, it still does not streak after it develops. I found that I got a beautiful deep bronze tan after keeping this product on for around 8 hours overnight. Even though it says on the packaging that it is a gradual tanning product, I only had to use the product once in order to get my desired colour. Of course, the more you use it, the darker you get.

Finally, the other great thing about this product is that it contains no nasty ingredients like parabens and sulphate. Vani-T products are not only organic and natural but also Australian owned and made. I love it when I can support a local company that has made a fantastic product!

The product has a retail price of $29.80 for a well sized 200ml bottle and it can be purchased from the Vani-T website. I purchased mine from my local beauty wholesaler so I got it a bit cheaper.

Even though its not the cheapest fake tan around, it is still relatively affordable. I think that this is the best gradual tanner I have used and for that reason I would definitely purchase it again and would highly recommend it. I have included a picture below which shows how the product worked on me after just one application. I didn't have time to take a 'before' picture for comparison but if you watch this video you can see how pale I am naturally so I hope that will help put things into perspective.

Have you found your holy grail self tanner? Which one would you recommend for me to try next?

I am so after a decent at home tanner. I have a great spray tanner technician in Double Bay (sydney), but sometimes, I just need a weekend at home and product that can make me look less ghostly, and more 'i've just arrived back from holidays in south of france!'. Might have to check this one out :P
