My first Buxom Lipgloss purchase

When I was in the US recently, I discovered a brand which I had not seen in Australia - Buxom. I had heard so much about the brand on YouTube so I was excited to try out one of their products.

The gloss is a beautiful plum colour which applies beautifully on the lips and is nicely pigmented with a hint of shimmer. It also has the perfect formula - not too runny or sticky.

Buxom claims that their products are formulated without parabens, GMOs, sulfates, phthalates and triclosan which is always a welcome bonus to such cute packaging.

One thing that I did not expect with this product is that it has lip plumping properties. After applying this product your lips start to tingle - a lot! In all honesty, although I am a beauty buff, there are some products which I just cannot get used to and this is one of them. Even while testing out the lip gloss for this review, I had trouble keeping it on my lips for more than a few minutes because I could not stand the tingling sensation. For this reason I can't really say how effective the lip plumping properties are in this product but I can say that it made me feel very uncomfortable.

I know that this is not one of my best product reviews but I hope that it helps you make a decision about purchasing this product. If you are like me and don't like lip plumping products, then you will not enjoy using this otherwise wonderful lip gloss. After using this product once, I decided to give it to my sister and she always loves that!

What do you think of lip plumping products?

im not a hundred percent sure of the buxom's plumping effect as sometimes i feel like it depends on the shade. i got a set before and i must say i LOVE it. :D it's so minty!

I don't mind a little tingle for a moment but if it lasts quite awhile, then I end up wiping it off. I have a Too Faced Gloss that has a mint tingle but it fades quickly.
